Aaron M. Horst, 90, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Richland Christian Home, Richland Pennsylvania.

Aaron was born on September 3, 1934, in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He was the first born of Amos H. and Lena M. Horst.

On February 23, 1957, in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, he married Alta H. Martin. They raised a family of seven children, two sons and five daughters. Alta preceded him in death on November 6, 1997. On September 25, 1999, Aaron married Nora Z. Martin in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania.

Surviving are his 2 sons: Glen and Loretta Horst of Narvon, Pennsylvania, Harold and Wilma Horst of Baring, Missouri and 5 daughters, Brenda Horst of New Holland, Pennsylvania, Betty and Wilmer Burkholder of Edina, Missouri, Shirley and Philip Oberholtzer of Loyal, Wisconsin, Lucinda and Neil Burkholder of Milford, Nebraska, Lena Mae and Alvin Burkholder of Baring, Missouri, 23 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren and 9 step children, 3 brothers, Franklin Horst of Leola, Pennsylvania, James and Nora Horst, Edwin and Ruth Horst of Memphis, Missouri; 6 sisters, Vera and Allen Fox, Lena Weiler of Memphis, Missouri, Katie and Leon High of Robesonia, Pennsylvania, Amelia and Arthur Weaver of Ephrata, Pennsylvania, Margaret and Henry Martin of Myerstown, Pennsylvania, Mary Ellen and Leon Martin of Memphis Missouri, a sister-in-law Grace Horst of Edina, Missouri; and a brother-in-law, Luke Burkholder of Memphis, Missouri..

Aaron was preceded in death by his parents Amos and Lena Horst, 3 granddaughters, Karla Jane, Darlene, and Anne Oberholtzer; 6 brothers, John, Phares, Martin, Amos, Clarence, and Leon Horst; and a sister, Anna Burkholder, a sister-in-law Elva Horst and brothers-in- law Allen Martin and Earl Weiler.

Funeral Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, November 25, 2024, at the Indian Creek Mennonite Church, south of Memphis, Missouri.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 24, 2024, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Hillcrest Mennonite Community Center, south of Rutledge, Missouri.

Burial will be in the Indian Creek Mennonite Cemetery, south of Memphis, Missouri.

Doss Funeral Home of Edina, Missouri is handling local arrangements.
