Schuyler County MU Extension invites youth, 15 and under, to participate in a Youth Fishing Tournament at Spencer Lake in Lancaster (located on route D), on Saturday, August 31st from 9:00a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Kids can fish from the bank only, no boats allowed. Fishing poles and bait will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own as well. Registration for this event is requested by calling the MU Extension office at (660) 457-3469 by 5 p.m. on Thursday, August 29th . The age groups will be 5 & under, 6-8, 9-12, and 13-15. Prizes will be awarded for most fish caught in each age category and biggest fish overall. There will be enough giveaways that all youth will go home with a prize. This free event is sponsored by the Schuyler County Extension Council and community partners.
