NATIONAL LEAGUE…
WASHINGTON 5 – Colorado 4… The Nationals erupted to score four runs in the bottom of the ninth inning and upend the Rockies. They scored on a bases-loaded hit-by-pitch, an infield groundout and a bases-loaded walk before CJ Abrams singled home Dominic Smith with the winning run.

MILWAUKEE 3 – Cincinnati 0… Tyrone Taylor’s two-run homer broke a scoreless tie in the bottom of the seventh inning and the Brewers went on to blank the Reds. Starter Freddy Peralta pitched four-hit ball and struck out 13 over six innings, but the win went to reliever Elvis Peguero (2-3).

St. Louis 11 – ARIZONA 7… Nolan Gorman homered to lead off the top of the second inning and added a two-run shot during a five-run top of the eighth inning that carried the Cardinals past the Diamondbacks. Andrew Knizner hit a two-run homer and singled home a run. Paul Goldschmidt also homered with a runner aboard,

Pittsburgh 3 – SAN DIEGO 2… The Pirates got solo homers from Ji Man Choi, Bryan Reynolds and Carlos Santana in easing past the Padres. Johan Oviedo (4-11) surrendered a run on three hits over six innings.

AMERICAN LEAGUE…
CLEVELAND 8 – Kansas City 3… Jose Ramirez went 3-for-4 with a pair of homers and three RBIs in leading the Guardians past the Royals. David Fry homered with a runner aboard for Cleveland.

Seattle 8 – MINNESOTA 7… Dylan Moore homered twice and knocked in four runs to power the Mariners past the Twins. Julio Rodriguez had three hits, including a solo homer.

Texas 13 – HOUSTON 5… The Rangers came from three runs down after three innings to crush the Astros. Adolis Garcia unloaded a grand slam. Nathaniel Lowe and Marcus Semien hit two-run homers. Leody Taveras drove in three runs with a pair of singles.

L.A. Angels – DETROIT (ppd)… Rain in Detroit forced postponement of yesterday’s Angels-Tigers game. It will be made up today as part of a doubleheader.

INTERLEAGUE…
Miami 7 – TAMPA BAY 1… Luis Arraez and Jacob Stallings both knocked in two runs with a single and a double as the Marlins cruised past the Rays. Sandy Alcantara (4-9) allowed a run on five hits in going the distance.

Toronto 8 – L.A. DODGERS 1… Yusei Kikuchi (8-3) held the Dodgers to a run on seven hits over six innings and the Blue Jays breezed to the win. Whit Merrifield belted a three-run homer. Danny Jansen also went deep.

PHILADELPHIA 6 – Baltimore 4… Edmundo Sosa hit a tie-breaking two-out homer and Bryce Harper singled home an insurance run in the bottom of the seventh inning as the Phillies eased past the Orioles. J.T. Realmuto stroked a two-run double.

BOSTON 5 – Atlanta 3… The Red Sox overcame a three-run sixth-inning deficit to top the Braves. Justin Turner delivered a go-head two-run double in the bottom of the seventh inning. Rafael Devers, Triston Casas and Adam Duval smacked solo homers.

N.Y. YANKEES 3 – N.Y. Mets 1… Carlos Rodón (1-3) limited the Mets to a run on four hits over 5-2/3 innings and four Yankees relievers shut the door. Anthony Volpe singled home a run. Harrison Bader went 3-for-4 and scored twice.

Chi. Cubs 10 – CHI. WHITE SOX 7… The Cubs erupted to scored six runs in the top of the fifth inning to erase a five-run deficit on their way past the White Sox. Ian Happ and Cody Bellinger hit back-to-back solo homers in the top of the eighth inning. Niko Hoerner went 2-for-3 and knocked in two runs.

SAN FRANCISCO 8 – Oakland 3… J.D. Davis homered with a runner aboard in the bottom of the first inning and Austin Slater connected for a tie-breaking two-run homer in the sixth as the Giants downed the Athletics. Patrick Bailey and Mike Yastrzemski both doubled home runs and scored during a three-run eighth.
