NATIONAL LEAGUE
MIAMI 7 – Philadelphia 3… Bryan De La Cruz went 4-for-4 with a solo homer and a run-scoring single as the Marlins topped the Phillies. Jesus Sánchez got things going with a two-run homer in the bottom of the first inning. Jesus Luzardo (8-5) allowed two runs on four hits over 6-1/3 innings.

MILWAUKEE 1 – Cincinnati 0… Wade Miley (6-2) pitched four-hit ball over six scoreless innings and three Brewers relievers held the Reds hitless the rest of the way. Jesse Winker singled home Christian Yelich with the game’s only run in the bottom of the first inning.

SAN FRANCISCO 1 – Colorado 0… Logan Webb (8-7) scattered seven hits and struck out 10 in shutting out the Rockies. J.D. Davis broke a scoreless tie with a homer to lead off the bottom of the fourth inning.

Pittsburgh 4 – ARIZONA 2… Jack Suwinski’s sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth inning scored Tucupita Marcano with a tie-breaking run and Jared Triolo singled home a run in the ninth as the Pirates eased past the Diamondbacks. Ji Man Choi homered with a runner aboard in the second.

SAN DIEGO 6 – N.Y. Mets 2… Manny Machado homered twice and drove in five runs to power the Padres past the Mets. Joe Musgrove (8-2) pitched three-hit ball over six scoreless innings.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
BOSTON 4 – Oakland 3… Masataka Yoshida smacked a tie-breaking homer to lead off the bottom of the eighth inning and the Red Sox made it stand in edging the Athletics for their fifth straight win. Yoshida scored the tying run in the sixth on Christian Arroyo’s double. Adam Duvall also went deep for Boston.

Kansas City 4 – CLEVELAND 1… Ryan Yarbrough (2-4) surrendered just a run on four hits over six innings and the Royals breezed past the Guardians to snap a six-game skid. Kyle Isbel led off the top of the fifth inning with a game-tying homer. Freddy Fermin doubled home a tie-breaking run and Mitch Massey legged out a two-run triple in the sixth.

Toronto 4 – DETROIT 3 (10 innings)… The Blue Jays came from three runs down after seven innings to outlast the Tigers. Nathan Lukes doubled home Daulton Varsho with a tie-breaking run in the top of the 10th inning after Danny Jensen’s two-run homer tied the game in the ninth.

Seattle 3 – HOUSTON 1… Teoscar Hernández doubled home a run and Jarred Kelenic doubled home two more as the Mariners scored all three runs in the top of the fourth inning and held off the Astros. Logan Gilbert (7-5) limited Houston to a run on three hits over seven innings.

Baltimore 15 – MINNESOTA 2… Anthony Santander hit two of the Orioles’ six home runs in their dismantling of the Twins. Aaron Hicks connected for a three-run shot. Ramon Urías and Adley Rutschman each homered with a runner aboard. Austin Hays also connected. Kyle Gibson (9-6) gave up two runs on three hits and fanned 11 over seven innings.

INTERLEAGUE
WASHINGTON 7 – Texas 2… Patrick Corbin (6-10) held the Rangers hitless over the first five innings in a strong seven-inning effort and the Nationals cruised to the win. Joey Menesez homered for the third straight day for Washington. Domonic Smith and Stone Garrett also went deep.

Chi. Cubs 7 – N.Y. YANKEES 4… The Cubs erased a late three-run deficit in rallying past the Yankees. Yan Gomes stroked a game-tying two-run single in the top of the seventh inning. Seiya Suzuki homered to lead off the fifth and lifted a tie-breaking sacrifice fly in the eighth.

TAMPA BAY 10 – Atlanta 4… The Rays opened with a four-run bottom of the first inning and never looked back in thrashing the Braves to end their seven-game skid. Isaac Paredes and Yandy Diaz hit two-run homers. Diaz and Jonathan Aranda hit two-run doubles. Zach Eflin (10-4) surrendered two runs on four hits over five innings.

St. Louis 4 – CHI. WHITE SOX 3 (10 innings)… Paul DeJong doubled home Nolan Gorman with a tie-breaking run in the top of the 10th inning and the Cardinals hung on to top the White Sox. Willson Contreras homered with a runner aboard for St. Louis.
