NATIONAL LEAGUE
PITTSBURGH 5 – San Diego 4… The Pirates came from three runs down to edge the Padres. Henry Davis’ second RBI single of the game scored Jack Suwinski with a tie-breaking run and capped a three-run bottom of the seventh inning.

Milwaukee 3 – N.Y. METS 2… Victor Caratini hit a game-tying two-run homer in the top of the sixth inning and Brian Anderson lifted a decisive sacrifice fly in the sixth as the Brewers grinded out a win over the Mets. Adrian Houser (3-2) allowed two runs on seven hits over six innings.

Philadelphia 3 – CHI. CUBS 1… Bryce Harper’s tie-breaking two-run single in the top of the third inning carried the Phillies past the Cubs. Kyle Schwarber homered to lead off the game. Taijuan Walker (9-3) surrendered a run on six hits over six innings.

L.A. Dodgers 14 – COLORADO 3… The Dodgers clobbered the Rockies in a contest that was delayed by two hours due to a massive hail storm earlier in the day. J.D. Martinez stroked a pair of run-scoring singles and hit a two-run homer to cap a six-run top of the fourth inning. Max Muncy singled, doubled and drove in three runs. Freddie Freeman knocked in three runs with a pair of singles.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
Detroit 8 – TEXAS 5… Spencer Torkelson homered twice and drove in four runs to lead the Tigers past the Rangers. Andy Ibañez singled home a tie-breaking run in the top of the seventh inning. Jake Marisnick tripled home a run and scored on Matt Vierling’s single in the second.

KANSAS CITY 4 – Cleveland 3 (10 innings)… Freddy Fermin came through with a two-run double in the bottom of the 10th inning to give the Royals a walkoff win over the Guardians. Edward Oliveras lifted a sacrifice fly and Nick Pratto singled home a run as Kansas City tied the game with a two-run eighth.

N.Y. Yankees 10 – OAKLAND 4… Josh Donaldson cracked a two-run homer and Giancarlo Stanton cleared the bases with a double as the Yankees erupted to score eight runs in the top of the sixth inning and bury the Athletics. Isiah Kiner-Falefa homered, singled home a run and lifted a sacrifice fly. Gleyber Torres contributed a two-run single.

Chi. White Sox 9 – L.A. ANGELS 7… Andrew Vaughn tripled home Luis Robert Jr. and scored on a wild pitch in the top of the ninth inning to provide the winning margin as the White Sox downed the Angels. Eloy Jiménez and Zach Remillard stroked two-run singles during a six-run third.

INTERLEAGUE
Tampa Bay 6 – ARIZONA 1… The Rays did all their scoring in their first three at-bats and coasted past the Diamondbacks. Cal Raleigh got things going with a solo homer in the top of the first inning. Wander Franco lined a two-run triple and Josh Lowe singled home two runs during a five-run third. Yonny Chirinos (4-3) held Arizona to a run on four hits over six innings.

Miami 2 – BOSTON 0… Five pitchers combined on a four-hitter as the Marlins squeaked past the Red Sox. Jon Berti singled home Jean Segura in the top of the eighth inning to break a scoreless tie. Jazz Chisholm Jr. added a ninth-inning homer. Tough-luck loser Brayan Bello (5-5) pitched seven no-hit innings before Segura’s infield single ended his bid.

Houston 14 – ST. LOUIS 0… The Astros scored six times in the top of the second inning and never looked back in their dismantling of the Cardinals. Kyle Tucker stroked a two-run single and belted a three-run homer. Alex Bregman unloaded a grand slam. J.P. France (3-3) pitched four-hit ball over seven innings and reliever Rafael Montero shut the door.

TORONTO 2 – San Francisco 1… Vladimir Guerrero Jr. homered with a runner aboard in the top of the sixth inning and the Blue Jays hung on to top the Giants. Chris Bassitt (8-5) limited San Francisco to three hits and struck out 12 over six innings.
