ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — —Jose Siri homered, Wander France had a sacrifice fly in a two-run seventh, and the MLB-leading Tampa Bay Rays beat Kansas City 3-1 Sunday for a split of a four-game series against the lowly Royals.
Both starters pitched well, but didn’t figure in the decision.
Kansas City’s Daniel Lynch gave up one run and six hits over six innings.
Tampa Bay’s Tyler Glasgow, making his sixth start after beginning the season on the injured list with an oblique injury, gave up one run, four hits and struck out a season-high 12 in five innings.
After a day off Monday, RHP Brady Singer (4-7) goes for Kansas City Tuesday at 7:10 at Kauffman Stadium.
