NATIONAL LEAGUE
Arizona 6 – WASHINGTON 2… Corbin Carroll went 4-for-5 with a two-run homer and three runs scored in leading the Diamondbacks past the Nationals. Emmanuel Rivera stroked a two-run double and Evan Longoria added a pair of run-scoring doubles. Zach Davies (1-1) allowed two runs on five hits over 6-2/3 innings to win for the first time in more than a year.

CINCINNATI 8 – L.A. Dodgers 6… The Reds came from four runs down to claim their second straight come-from-behind, walkoff win over the slumping Dodgers. Will Benson blasted a tie-breaking two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth inning. Elly De La Cruz and Tyler Stephenson also homered with a runner aboard.

ATLANTA 7 – N.Y. Mets 5… The Braves overcame a three-run deficit at the midway point to get past the Mets. Michael Harris II doubled home a tying run in the bottom of the sixth inning and connected for a tie-breaking two-run homer in the eighth. Sean Murphy added a two-run shot.

San Francisco 5 – COLORADO 4… The Giants erased a 4-0 deficit after six innings to rally past the Rockies. Austin Slater singled home a run to spark a three-run top of the seventh inning and added a game-tying RBI single in the eighth. Casey Schmitt stroked a two-run single for San Francisco.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
TAMPA BAY 2 – Minnesota 1… Randy Arozarena’s homer to lead off the bottom of the ninth inning lifted the Rays over the Twins. Isaac Paredes opened the scoring with a leadoff homer in the second.

TORONTO 3 – Houston 2… The Blue Jays squeezed past the Astros after spotting them a two-run lead. Alejandro Kirk singled home Daulton Varsho with a tie-breaking run in the bottom of the seventh inning. Bo Bichette and Brandon Belt slugged solo homers.

CLEVELAND 5 – Boston 2… Tanner Bibee (2-1) held the Red Sox to two runs on four hits over five innings and the Guardians cruised to the win. Amed Rosario and Josh Naylor both had three hits and an RBI for Cleveland.

Chi. White Sox – N.Y. YANKEES (ppd)… Poor air quality in New York forced postponement of last night’s White Sox-Yankees game. It will be made up today as part of a doubleheader.

INTERLEAGUE
Oakland 9 – PITTSBURGH 5… The Athletics opened with a seven-run top of the first inning and never looked back in their pounding of the Pirates. Ryan Noda had a couple of hits, including a solo homer and two RBIs. Jace Peterson lined a two-run double. Brent Rooker drove in two runs with a single and a double.

SAN DIEGO 10 – Seattle 3… Juan Soto went 4-for-4 and knocked in four runs as the Padres battered the Mariners. Gary Sánchez belted a three-run homer. Michael Wacha (6-2) pitched two-hit ball over six scoreless innings.

MIAMI 6 – Kansas City 1… Edward Cabrera (5-4) allowed just a run on two hits over five innings and the Marlins breezed past the Royals. Jesus Sánchez cracked a go-ahead three-run homer in the bottom of the third inning and singled home a run. Bryan De La Cruz drilled a two-run double.

MILWAUKEE 10 – Baltimore 2… Joey Wiemer hit a pair of two-run homers and singled home a run to help power the Brewers past the Orioles. Willy Adames also homered for Milwaukee. Corbin Burnes (5-4) pitched two-hit ball over eight scoreless innings.

St. Louis 1 – TEXAS 0… Alex Burleson’s two-out homer in the top of the eighth inning accounted for the game’s only run as the Cardinals clipped the Rangers. St. Louis starter Jack Flaherty allowed just three hits over six innings but the win went to reliever Jordan Hicks (1-3). Tough-luck loser Jon Gray (6-2) surrendered four hits and struck out 12 in going the distance.

L.A. ANGELS 6 – Chi. Cubs 2… Luis Rengifo hit a game-tying homer to lead off the bottom of the fifth inning and added a go-ahead RBI single in the sixth as the Angels downed the Cubs. Mickey Moniak capped the scoring with a bases-clearing double.

Detroit – PHILADELPHIA (ppd)… Poor air quality in Philadelphia forced postponement of last night’s Tigers-Phillies game. It will be made up today on what was a scheduled off day for both teams.
