NFL SCOREBOARD…
SEATTLE 19 – L.A. Rams 16… Jason Myers’ tie-breaking 32-yard field goal midway through overtime gave the a hard-fought win over Rams (5-12) and led to their claiming the final NFL playoff spot later when Green Bay later lost to Detroit. Seattle’s only touchdown came on Geno Smith’s 36-yard pass to Tyler Lockett in the third quarter. Kenneth Walker III rushed for 114 yards.
Detroit 20 – GREEN BAY 16… The Lions (9-8) grinded out a win at Lambeau Field and knocked the Packers (8-9) out of the postseason. Jamaal Williams scored on a pair of 1-yard touchdown runs in the second half and set a franchise record with 17 rushing TDs in a season. Rookie safety Kerby Joseph had two of Detroit’s three interceptions, including one that sealed the win in the final minutes.
PHILADELPHIA 22 – N.Y. Giants 16… The Eagles (14-3) clinched the NFC’s top seed with their defeat of the playoff-bound Giants (9-7-1). Boston Scott ran 8 yards for Philadelphia’s only touchdown in the first quarter. Jalen Hurts returned from injury to pass for 229 yards.
SAN FRANCISCO 38 – Arizona 13… The 49ers (13-4) thrashed the Cardinals (4-13) to clinch the NFC’s second seed in the playoffs and end the regular season with their 10th straight win. Brock Purdy found with George Kittle with two of his three touchdown passes. Christian McCaffrey also had a scoring reception. Elijah Mitchell ran for two TDs. Safety Tashaun Gipson Sr. intercepted two passes.
BUFFALO 35 – New England 23… The Bills (13-3) responded to the Damar Hamlin injury by eliminating the Patriots (8-9) from the postseason with a convincing victory. Nyheim Hines returned the game’s opening kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown and added a 101-yard for a score in the third quarter. Josh Allen passed for 254 yards and three TD. Stefon Diggs had seven catches for 104 yards and a touchdown.
MIAMI 11 – N.Y. Jets 6… With their win over the Jets (7-10), and New England’s loss, the Dolphins (9-8) clinched a wild-card spot and the No. 7 seed in the NFC playoffs. Jason Sanders kicked a tie-breaking 50-yard field goal with 18 seconds remaining for Miami, which ended a five-game skid.
ATLANTA 30 – Tampa Bay 17… Desmond Ridder threw a pair of short touchdown passes, Cordarrelle Patterson ran for a score and the Falcons (7-10) topped a Buccaneers (8-9) team that is heading to the playoffs as the NFC’s No. 4 seed. Rookie Tyler Allgeier led Atlanta’s ground game with 135 yards on 24 carries.
Minnesota 29 – CHICAGO 13… The NFC North-champion Vikings (13-4) handled the Bears (3-14) in a tuneup to their postseason. Kirk Cousins threw for 224 yards and a touchdown before siting out the second half. Alexander Mattison scored on a pair of 1-yard runs. K.J. Osborn had five catches for 117 yards.
CINCINNATI 27 – Baltimore 16… The Bengals (12-4) took advantage of four turnovers to down the Ravens (10-7) and clinch home field in next week’s matchup between the two teams. Joe Burrow passed for 215 yards and a touchdown. Joe Mixon ran for a score.
DENVER 31 – L.A. Chargers 28… Russell Wilson threw touchdown passes to three different receivers to lead the Broncos (5-12) past the playoff-bound Chargers (10-7). Jerry Jeudy had five receptions for 154 yards and rushed three times for 39 yards. Safety Justin Simmons forced two fumbles defensively.
WASHINGTON 26 – Dallas 6… The Commanders (8-8-1) rode their defense to a pounding of the playoff-bound Cowboys (12-5). Sam Howell threw a 16-yard touchdown pass to Terry McLaurin and ran 9 yards for a score. Cornerback Kendall Fuller returned an interception 29 yards for a TD.
Houston 32 – INDIANAPOLIS 31… Davis Mills connected with Jordan Akins on a 28-yard touchdown pass with 50 seconds remaining and passed to Akins for a go-ahead two-point conversion as the Texans (3-13-1) upended the Colts (4-12-1). Mills and Akins also connected on a 19-yard scoring pass in the third quarter. Jonathan Greenard returned an interception 39 yards for a second-quarter TD.
Carolina 10 – NEW ORLEANS 7… Eddy Pineiro booted a 42-yard field goal as time expired to send the Panthers (7-10) past the Saints (7-10). Carolina scored its only touchdown in the third quarter on a Sam Darnold fumble that was recovered in the end zone by Carolina lineman Michael Jordan.
PITTSBURGH 28 – Cleveland 14… The Steelers (9-8) got the better of the Browns (7-10) in a matchup of teams that missed out on the playoffs. Kenny Pickett threw a 31-yard touchdown pass to George Pickens. Najee Harris and Derek Watt scored on short TD runs.
