Judith Ann Dunlap, 86, of Milan, Missouri, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, October 24, 2021, at Sullivan County Memorial Hospital.
Judy was born on August 11, 1935 to Wailes and Edith (Meeks) Kizzire in Milan. After graduating from Milan C-2 High School, she married Kenneth Lee “Dude” Dunlap Sr. on March 24, 1955 and to this marriage one son was born, Kenneth Dunlap Jr. They moved to Kansas City where Judy worked at Hallmark Cards before moving back to Milan in the 1970s. Judy spent time as a cook at the Milan Highschool and later was a cook/dietician at Sullivan County Memorial Hospital for 35 years. Judy enjoyed playing Bingo, she loved seeing and talking to her grandchildren on the phone, and spending evenings with her cat, Gracie.
Judy is survived by her son, Kenneth Dunlap Jr. (Candi) of Milan, Missouri, grandchildren; Kristy Hoerath (Ryan) of North Kansas City, Missouri, Kim (Clint) Faught of Burleson, Texas, bonus grandchildren; Dustin Evans of Riverside, Missouri, Hannah Pflugradt (Ryan) of Gower, Missouri, Cara Evans of Platt City, Missouri, Eric Fowler (Ashlee) of Sicily, Italy, Nikki Maring (Troy) of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, great grandchildren; Kinley and Aubrey Hoerath, Riley Faught, and Ava and Evan Pflugradt, sisters; Mary Louise Ralls of Kearney, Missouri, Debbie Santa Maria (Bill) of Stillwell, Kansas, brother Doyle Kizzire (Judy) of Lawson, Missouri, and many nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, and husband on October 27, 1986
A graveside service for Judy will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Henry Cemetery, South of Reger, Missouri. Memorial Contributions are suggested to the Sullivan County Memorial Hospital in Judy’s name.
