Gary Wayne Hayden, age 63, of Hurdland, MO, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at his residence in Hurdland.
He was born March 10, 1957, in Mexico, MO. He was the late son of the late Robert Wilson Hayden and Mary Jane Hayden Lott. He was number five in a family of eight children.
He is survived by one son, Dakota (Koty) Hayden of Brashear, MO, of whom he was very proud. He was a jack of all trades, doing whatever needed to be done. He enjoyed cooking and produced many original dishes. He gave his heart to the Lord later in life and was an avid watcher of the 700 Club.
Gary was preceded in death by his father, Robert Wilson Hayden, sister-in-law Carol Jean Hayden, sister Kathryn Sue Hudnut and brother-in-law, Stanley Hubert Hudnut.
He is survived by his son, Koty Hayden of Brashear, MO, two sisters, Sharon Kay Whiteaker of Brookfield, MO, Christine Georgeanne Hayes and husband Bill Hayes of Kirksville, MO, four brothers, Michael Lynn Hayden of Stoutsville, MO, Arthur Frank Hayden and wife Trella Hayden of Chillicothe, MO, Jerry Lee Hayden of Pacific, MO and Johnny Luther Lott and wife Susie of Exeter, IL, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews.
There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, April 24, 2020 in Green Mount Cemetery in Quincy, IL. Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO is handling the arrangements.
