Carol Ann Hasselbring, 78 of Lancaster, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at the Schuyler County Nursing Home in Queen City, Missouri.
The daughter of Ray Howard and Evalee Victoria (Henderson) McCartney, she was born on January 23, 1947 in rural Queen City, Missouri. She attended school in Queen City, Missouri. Carol was united in marriage to Richard Kearns on August 22, 1965 and to this union 3 children were born, Marcia Ann, Steven Ray and Kevin Eugene. On September 8, 1979, she was united in marriage to Terry Girardin. Carol was later united in marriage to Rick Hasselbring on March 18, 2000.
Carol is survived by her 3 children, Marcia Schubert (Henry) of Lancaster, Missouri, Steven Kearns of California and Kevin Kearns (Keri) of Kahoka, Missouri; 6 grandchildren, Tucker Schubert (Hannah) of Bloomfield, Iowa, Laynee Shaw (Braxton) of Lancaster, Missouri, Miranda Kearns (Garyeon) of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, Adrianna Porras (Eder) of Columbus Junction, Iowa, Mariah Kearns (Adam) of Smyrna, Tennessee and Grace Kearns of Kahoka, Missouri; 6 great grandchildren, Brigham Shaw, Hendrix Schubert, Alexander and Adrianna Porras, Kingston Sensouk and Elijah Barbary; 3 sisters, Sandy Kelly (Richard) of Cantril, Iowa, Leslie Eggers (Greg) of Memphis, Missouri and Jan Stockwell (Shawn) of Fort Madison, Iowa; 2 brothers, Jim McCartney (Cindy) of Junction City, Kansas and David McCartney (Laura) of Memphis, Missouri; 1 sister-in-law, Brenda McCartney of Columbia, Missouri; many nieces and nephews, other family members and many good friends.
Carol is preceded by her parents; husband, Rick Hasselbring; 3 brothers, Fred McCartney (Lettie), Robert McCartney and Dan McCartney.
Carol was a member of the Schuyler County Church of Faith in Lancaster, Missouri. She served on the Senior Housing Board in Lancaster, Missouri.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Bob Baker officiating. Music will be special selections of “How Great Thou Art” and “The Old Rugged Cross.” Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been established for the Bethel Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed to the family by logging on to normanfh.com. A private family burial will be held at a later date at the Bethel Cemetery, southwest of Lancaster, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri.
