Rose Ann (Binkley) Klote age 92 of Edina, Missouri passed away Thursday morning January 30, 2025 at the Scotland County Hospital in Memphis, MO. Born December 26, 1932 in Knox County, Missouri, she was the daughter of Lawrence S. and Florence E. (Rourke) Binkley.
On October 28, 1949, in LaBelle, Missouri she was united in marriage to Jerome Lawrence Klote. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1995.
She was also preceded in death by her son Brian Jerome, her parents, three sisters; Irene Mayer, Virginia McCarty and Adeline Davis; and brothers James, Eugene, Jerold Jerome (JJ), Billy Paul and Joseph Binkley.
Survivors include five children: Rosalie (Jerry) Caldwell of Kirksville, Pat (Steve) Miller of Edina, Carolyn Klote of Kirksville, Phyllis (Don) Kutcher of Edina and Tony (Sandy) Klote of High Ridge; one brother, Dale Lee Binkley of Hemet, California; nine grandchildren, Cathy (David) Gryszowka, Jeremy (Ruthie) Caldwell, Heather (Brian) Thomas, Stephan (Deby) Miller, H Kapp-Klote, Eric (Kate) Kutcher, Drew Kutcher, Tanner (Corinne Holtmann) Klote and Haley (Andrew) Kaufmann; eleven great grandchildren Pat (Jackie) Daniels, Joe (Jordan) Heaton, Hope (Preston) Heaton, Hunter Caldwell, Zane (Riley) Hubble, Haven Hubble, Madison Miller, Makinley Miller, Taegan Land, Evie Land, and Cameron Kutcher; five great-great grandkids Cole and Theo Daniels, Luke and Paisley Heaton and Paxton Taylor along with many nieces and nephews.
Rose Ann was a lifelong member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edina, a member of the St. Ann Alter Auxiliary (former President) and the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery Board. Jerome and Rose Ann were former members of the Baring Country Club, where she loved to take her family. She worked alongside Jerome at the J. Burdman Auto Parts store as a bookkeeper for many years. After that she worked at the Knox County Library as a Librarian for years as well. She loved her sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. She coached the St Joe’s Girls basketball team along with numerous kids on how to throw and catch a baseball or softball properly. She loved reading her books, playing cards, Rummy Q or any type of games thru the years with family and of late with her good friend Madelyn O’Brien. She loved working outdoors, eating her chocolates, going for car rides, swinging on her back porch swing but mostly being with her kids, grandkids, great grandkids and great-great grandkids whenever or wherever she could.
The Prayer Service will be at 6:00 pm Friday, February 7, 2025, at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina with the Visitation to follow. Services to be held at 10:00 am Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edina. Burial will be in the St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.
