Jolonda Tuttle

Jolonda Tuttle, 89, of Green City, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Putnam County Care Center in Unionville, Missouri.

Jolonda was born November 28, 1935 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to William Thomas and Iva Buna Vista Reta Marie (Branstetter) Pottorff. She married Russell Leroy “Roy” Tuttle, he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by: Her parents; a brother, Harold Pottorff; sister, Mary Pfeiffer;a brother in infancy, William Marion; and a nephew, Steve Pfeiffer.

Jolonda was survived by: Her two children, Doug Tuttle and wife Jennifer of Green City and Susie Keller of Green City; Grandchildren, Beth (Mike) Kral, Tom (Jennifer) Keller, Charley (Daneye) Keller, Cassie (Cody) Hasekamp; 6 great grandchildren, William, Sarafina, Ava, Sam, Olivia, and Greysen; 3 step grandchildren; 9 step great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, whom she loved as her own and a special friend, Linda Branstetter of Green City.

Jolonda moved back when she was 3 years old to a farm south of Green City, attending and graduating from Green City R-I. After graduation, she worked at the drug store, then as the tax collector for several years. Roy and Jolonda then owned and operated Tuttle’s Café and the Better Value store until her health declined. Jolonda enjoyed cooking and making big dinners for her family. She enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels, gardening and her flowers. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

A graveside service for Jolonda will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, East of Green City, Missouri. Ruschmeier-Smith Funeral Home in Green City is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
