Frederick “Mark” Stribling, 75 of Kirksville, MO, passed away Thursday, December 12th,2024, at his home in Kirksville.

The son of Frederick and Violet (Riley) Stribling, Frederick was born March 11th, 1949, in La Plata, MO. On December 31st, 1980, Frederick was united in marriage to Pat Goodhart.

Mark is survived by his children, Melissa Butterbrodt and son-in-law Wayne, Raquel Merryman, Jason Morrison, Joseph Morrison, Patsy Morrison, Terri Bunch and husband Richard; twelve grandchildren, Derek Tague, Keaton Lee, Lauren Merryman, Sydney Butterbrodt, Travis Butterbrodt, Trey Smith, Darien Smith, RaDonna Smith, Brooklyn Morrison, Branson Morrison, Chase Starbuck, and Cameron Morrison; eight great grandchildren, Kylee Tague, Cabe Smith, Xander Smith, Axel Smith, Liam Smith, Levi Smith, King Bartmess, AliZeigh Bartmess; and several nieces & nephews. He is also survived by good friends, Terry Reed, Tommy Hayes, Roy Risher, Mark Ratliff, Richard Cox, and Bill Johnson.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Martha Walters and Virginia Lancaster, brother, Sonny Stribling, great granddaughter, Eleanore Smith, one niece, Susan Rudolph, and three nephews, Steve Stribling, Gene Walters, and Kenneth Walters.

Mark grew up in the Gibbs/La Plata area and graduated from Brashear. He enjoyed playing lead guitar in his band and singing. He loved playing pool, fishing, hunting, and camping. One of his favorite pastimes was spending time with his grandchildren. Mark was a very good teacher of all life skills and was a provider for all his family.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 21st, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Playle- Rimer-Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Kirksville with Pastor Chuck Watson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Northeast Missouri.
