Tampatha Elaine Dromey, 55, known affectionately as Tammy to her friends and loved ones, passed away on on October 25, 2024, in Quincy, Illinois, as she succumbed to a four-year battle with cancer. Born to Edwin and Clarece McCarty Troutt on July 5, 1969, in the small town of Kirksville, Missouri.
On July 5, 1997, Tammy married Gordon Dromey and to this union a daughter was born.
She is survived by her partner in life, Gordon Dromey and their beloved daughter, Hope Dromey. She is also survived by her father, Edwin (Kay) Troutt, and her siblings: Bill (Kim) Troutt, Brian (Stephanie) Troutt, Gary (Nadon) Sykes, Jr. and Christine (Tony) Jefferies, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and good friends including Pam Morford and Paula Basico.
She was preceded in death by her mom, Clarece “Dee” Pape and her stepfather, Dwight Pape.
A celebration of Tammy’s life will be at the Doss Funeral Home on Monday, November 4, 2024. Family will receive friends from 4 – 6 PM with Memorial service at 6PM. Pastor Brian Burton will officiate.
