Steven Edward Howerton, 79, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, June 28, 2024 at his home.
Born January 14, 1945 in Kirksville, Missouri, Steve was the son of the late Richard Earl and Cathryn Bernice (Anderson) Howerton. He was also preceded in death by one brother Mike Howerton. On October 15, 1966, Steve married Judy Kehrer and to this union three children were born.
Steve is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Marty Montgomery of Kirksville, MO; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jason and Stephanie Howerton and Jeremy and Maggie Howerton all of Kirksville, MO; six grandchildren, Michael, Dillan, Tyler, Katie, Chase, and Cayden; as well as one niece and one nephew.
Steve has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements were taken care of by Travis-Noe Funeral Home of Kirksville.
