Jack Robert Wood, 90, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2024 at his daughters home surrounded by his loving family.
Born February 20, 1934 in Unionville, Missouri, Jack was the late son of Floyd Ross and Mabel (Trent) Wood. On February 25, 1956 in Pollock, Missouri, Jack was united in marriage to Alberta Lawson who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Cathy Creason; one brother, Daymond Wood; one sister, Juanita Robbins; and his significant other, Evelyn Barnes.
Jack is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Bill Aucutt of Kirksville, MO; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Teresa Wood of Kirksville, MO; son-in-law, Lynn Creason; one sister and brother-in-law, Leanna and Darl Buckallew of Lancaster, MO; eight grandchildren, Matt, Danny, Justin, Kayla, Ashley, Matt, Ryan, and Kayla; as well as eleven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with family receiving friends for one hour before the service in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home. Pastor Alan Coonfield will officiate the service and Interment will follow at Pherigo Cemetery in Unionville, Missouri.
Pallbearers will be Robert Wood, Brenda Aucutt, Matthew Creason, Danny Creason, Justin Aucutt, and Kayla Bachman.
Memorial donations in memory of Jack may be made to Pherigo Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
