NATIONAL LEAGUE
San Francisco 8 – ST. LOUIS 5 (10 innings)… The Giants came from three runs down after six innings to outlast the Cardinals. Thairo Estrada’s second RBI single of the game sparked a three-run top of the 10th inning. Mike Yastrzemski singled home a run in the seventh and hit a game-tying two-run homer in the ninth.
CHI. CUBS 10 – Pittsburgh 6… The Cubs used a six-run bottom of the sixth inning to erase a four-run deficit and rally past the Pirates. Mike Tauchman and Dansby Swanson both had three hits and drove in two runs. Ian Happ stroked a two-run single and Seiya Suzuki added a two-run double.
Philadelphia 4 – ARIZONA 3 (10 innings)… Nick Castellanos lifted a sacrifice fly in the top of the 10th inning to score Brandon Marsh with a tie-breaking run and the Phillies made it stand in their win over the Diamondbacks. J.T. Realmuto homered and brought home a run with an infield grounder.
AMERICAN LEAGUE
Toronto 3 – BALTIMORE 1… Jose Berrios (7-4) took a no-hitter into the seventh inning and the Blue Jays breezed past the Orioles. George Springer homered and Toronto got run-scoring doubles from Whit Merrifield and Bo Bichette.
TEXAS 6 – L.A. Angels 3… Marcus Semien cracked a tie-breaking two-run homer and Corey Seager added a solo shot in the bottom of the seventh inning as the Rangers doubled up on the Angels. Leody Taveras homered and singled home a run.
Tampa Bay 6 – OAKLAND 3… Yandy Diaz went 3-for-4 and drove in two runs as the Rays dealt the Athletics their first loss in eight games. Manuel Margot had three hits, including an RBI double.
INTERLEAGUE
Atlanta 10 – DETROIT 7… The Braves overcame an early four-run deficit to slug their way past the Tigers in the opener of a doubleheader. Michael Harris II lined a tie-breaking two-run double in the top of the fourth inning and also hit a solo homer and singled home a run. Ronald Acuña Jr. homered with a runner aboard added an RBI single. Orlando Garcia produced a pair of run-scoring singles.
Atlanta 6 – DETROIT 5… Eddie Rosario led off the top of the sixth inning with a tie-breaking homer and the Braves hung on to complete a sweep of the twinbill. Ozzie Albies and Ronald Acuña Jr. homered for Atlanta. Orlando Arcia delivered a two-run single.
MINNESOTA 4 – Milwaukee 2… Carlos Correa legged out a game-tying two-run triple as the Twins scored all four runs in the bottom of the third inning and held off the Brewers. Bailey Ober (4-3) allowed two runs on six hits over six innings.
BOSTON 6 – Colorado 3… Rob Refsnyder’s two-run triple highlighted a five-run bottom of the seventh inning that pushed the Red Sox past the Rockies. Alex Verdugo knocked in two runs with a single and a double. Garrett Whitlock (4-2) allowed two runs on six hits over seven innings.
N.Y. METS 4 – N.Y. Yankees 3 (10 innings)… Brandon Nimmo singled home Eduardo Escobar in the bottom of the 10th inning to give the Mets a walkoff win over the Yankees. Nimmo was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded and Starling Marte singled home a game-tying run in the seventh.
Cincinnati 7 – KANSAS CITY 4… Stuart Fairchild and Jonathan India hit solo homers and Matt McLain belted a three-run blast during a five-run top of the fifth inning that carried the Reds past the Royals for a sweep of the series. Spencer Steer also went deep for Cincinnati.
HOUSTON 5 – Washington 4… A throwing error by Nationals catcher Keibert Ruiz allowed Jose Abreu to score the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning after the Astros blew a three-run lead in the top half. Abreu lined a two-run double and homered. Yainer Diaz also circled the bases for Houston.
Miami 4 – SEATTLE 1… Eury Perez (4-1) pitched two-hit ball over six scoreless innings and the Marlins breezed past the Mariners. Jorge Soler homered and Nick Fortes doubled home a run for Miami.
SAN DIEGO 5 – Cleveland 0… Michael Wacha (7-2) limited the Guardians to four hits over 6-2/3 innings and two Padres relievers completed the shutout. Fernando Tatis Jr. homered to lead off the bottom of the first inning. San Diego also got solo homers from Manny Machado, Juan Soto and Nelson Cruz.
Chi. White Sox 8 – L.A. DODGERS 4… Jake Burger hit a game-tying two-run homer and Clint Frazier singled home the decisive run in the top of the eighth inning as the White Sox came from behind to top the Dodgers. Burger also smacked a solo homer in the second. Luis Robert Jr. also went deep. Andrew Benintendi’s two-run single capped a three-run ninth.
