Beverly Ann (Ford) Shively, 88, of Glenwood, Missouri passed away at her daughter’s home in Downing, Missouri on Friday, May 12, 2023.
The daughter of George Wilkins and Rose Belle (Conkin) Ford, she was born on December 21, 1934 in Glenwood, Missouri and was a graduate of Lancaster High School in Lancaster, Missouri. On September 15, 1951 in Marshall, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Clarence Dale Shively and to this union five children were born, Rick, Larry, Lurene and twins, Brent and Brenda.
Beverly is survived by her children, Rick Shively of Glenwood, Missouri, Larry Shively of Glenwood, Missouri, Lurene Stice (Mickey) of Downing, Missouri, Brent Shively (Cindy) of Glenwood, Missouri and Brenda Powers (Alan) of Centralia, Missouri; 13 grandchildren, Amy Gott (Marvin), Justin Shively (Amanda), Joshua Shively (Jessica) and families, Robert Stice, Aaron Stice (Rachel), Katie Stice (Michael), Chad Stice (Sasha), Logan Shively (Heather), Jaron Shively (Jessica), Dalton Shively (Hanna), Buddy Powers, Nathan Powers (Jamie), Crystal Powers (Paul); 11 great grandchildren, Sophia Shively, Hayden Gott, Harley Potts, Maverick and Titan Shively, Emerson and Evelyn Stice, Brenna and Gwyneth Shively and Carter and Camden Shively, Jace and Kallie Shively, Juliana and L. J. Powers, Kyler Powers, and Desirea Bergeron; 1 granddaughter-in-law, Denise Shively and families; 1 sister-in-law, Jessie Kay Myers; nieces and nephews; other family members.
Beverly is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence Dale Shively on September 9, 2009; one grandson, Jesse Shively on January 2, 2022 and two sisters, Georgia Coleman and Mary Jane Preston.
She was a child of the depression times and was raised for a period of time by her Aunt Ivalee and Uncle Floyd Lucas. After her five children were in school, she worked for the county clerk office in Lancaster and then as a travel guide for Kirksville Travel Agency.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Brad Drummond, of Lancaster, Missouri officiating. Music will be special CD selections of “Go Rest High On That Mountain” and “I Want To Stroll Over Heaven With You”. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been established for Glenwood Cemetery.
