The Kirksville Tigers had another tight battle with Palmyra Tuesday, but another big third quarter proved to be the difference as KHS beat the Panthers 49-37. KHS led by just one at the half 20-19, but Cole Kelly turned it on in the third with a big three pointer, coupled with a steal and basket at the other end to help Kirksville outscore the Panthers 16-10 in the third. Kelly wasn’t done, he went 3 for 4 at the free throw line to help shut the game down, 49-37. Eighteen points for Isaac Danielson to lead all scorers, Kelly finished with 10. KHS climbs to 9-4n on the season and will be part two of Friday’s doubleheader with Hannibal at Tiger Gym.
