James “Jim” L. Parrish, age 77, of Unionville, MO passed away unexpectedly at his home on June 23rd, 2022.
Jim was the son of Howard Rufus and Betty Joe (Raymer) Parrish. He was born in Knox City, MO, on February 28th, 1945. Jim made his lifetime career driving for UPS, delivering to Putnam County until he retired. He loved to go camping and riding his horses. Jim had plans for a big trail ride this summer and was already making preparations.
Jim is survived by his wife of 37 years, Linda J. (Miller) Parrish. His surviving sister is Marsha Burton and husband Paul of Knox City, MO. Surviving grandchildren are Ely Botkins of Martinstown, MO, Alex Botkins of Columbia, MO, Jessica (Jason) Zuspann, and Justin Ballanger. Jim is also survived by 5 great grandkids; step-son, Randy Ballanger and wife Angie of Green Castle, MO; and step daughter, Karrie Ballanger of Bloomfield, MO; and son-in-law, Chris of Huntsville, MO.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sons, Philip Parrish of Florida and John Parrish of Unionville, MO and a daughter, Andrea Parrish of Huntsville, MO.
Visitation will be Monday, June 27, 2022 at 1:00 PM at the Playle & Collins Family Funeral Home in Unionville, MO. Funeral Service will follow at 2:30 PM at the Playle & Collins Family Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Unionville Cemetery.
