Charles Edwin Pigg

Charles Edwin Pigg, age 81, of rural Hurdland, MO, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at his home north of Hurdland.

He was born January 3, 1940, in Newtown, MO the son of James Wilford and Anna Mae Church Pigg. He was married to Glenna Crossgrove Leavitt on February 10, 2000.

Surviving is his wife, Glenna Pigg of Hurdland, MO, son Randy (Stacey) Thompson and family of Gladstone, MO, daughter Dana (Ronny) Dungan and family, step-daughter Tani (Robert) Buchanan of Oskaloosa, IA, and step-son Mori (Liz) Leavitt and families of Bainbridge Island, WA, daughters-in-law Rita (Eddie) Briggs and family of TX and Wendy Pigg and family of Illinois, brother Gary Pigg of Old Monroe, MO, sisters, Kay Fowler of Purdin, MO, and Margaret (Cliff) Baxter of sun city, AZ, brother-in-law Tommy Chapman of Milan, MO, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, son Eddy Jr., brothers, Jay, Wayne, Leroy, Jim and Mike Pigg, sisters Barbara Pigg, Ruth Turnbough and Mary Chapman.

Ed was a truck driver, raised dogs and game birds, farmed, managed a trailer park and was an avid fisherman.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, October 23, 2021, in the Paultown Cemetery Northeast of Brashear, MO. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Kirksville, MO.
