Keith “Mud Duck” Manyx, 65, of rural Knox City, Missouri, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021, at the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri.
Keith was born on October 19, 1955, in Quincy, Illinois, the son of Lawrence Pat and Sally Jean Stutsman Manyx.
He attended school in Colony, Knox City and graduated from the Knox County High School in the Class of 1973.
He began working right out of high school with Titan Wheel in Quincy, Illinois, Green’s Station in LaBelle, Missouri, Miller Farms of Knox City, Missouri, The Farm Shop and Little Jesse Motors both of Edina, Missouri and Quincy, Illinois, Goodson Motors, Mr. Deals, and finally Woody’s Tire and Auto in Kirksville, Missouri before retiring in 2020.
Keith was always involved in motorcycles, cart racing, car racing, drag racing, and restoring cars, and traveling to car shows. He traveled with family and friends to bike rallies in Sturgis, Little Sturgis, and Daytona Beach Bike Rally multiple times.
Twelve years ago he met Nyoka G. Boswell and after a few years, he finally tied the knot on December 10, 2016 at their home northwest of Knox City, Missouri.
He is survived by his wife, Nyoka of rural Knox City, Missouri; his son, Brian Keith and Amy Manyx of Kirksville, Missouri; step children, Caleb and Heather Pryor of Ludlow, Missouri, and Morganne and Mark Bennett of Springfield, Missouri; his constant companion Mazie and most recently Sounder; his father, Robert Pape of Colony, Missouri; a sister, Tina M. (Pape) and Aaron Lawrence of La Plata, Missouri; three grandchildren Kierra Manyx, Tristan Manyx and Lena Pryor; and a nephew, Auston Lawrence; along with cousins and a host of friends.
Keith was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Pat Manyx; and mother, Sally Jean Pape.
Graveside Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 10, 2021, at the Colony Cemetery in Colony, Missouri with Pastor Doug Wilson officiating.
